Exactly 10 weeks ago, we started the 52 Games in 52 Weeks initiative. We have made one game every week for the past 10 weeks. 10 down. 42 to go. I am writing this post about this week’s game because this a huge milestone for us.
Lone Wanderer is about a wanderer that has to kill monsters for gold coins so that he can buy a home. It was created for Beat The Boredom Game Jam. The theme for the game jam is Outdoors. You can play the game in your browser or download it for Windows here: https://nextbranch.itch.io/lone-wanderer
A few things we have learnt over the past 10 weeks;
- Submitting the games to game jam sites is a good way to get noticed. It’s also motivating to build our week’s games around game jams that match.
- Having a theme can be inspiring.
- Tight deadlines (weekly, in this case) are good for us because we are more productive under pressure.
Thanks for reading. Please follow our itch.io page if you’d like to see our upcoming games 🙂
