Arcaneon is a 52 page science-fantasy TTRPG zine for a fallen world that is now funding! It is set in the ruins of Akkodia, a massive metropolis that fell due to a zoonotic leap of cordyceps fungus. The ruins are now inhabited by mindless Clubheads, iron-shelled giant snails, magical nudibranchs, and much more! Travellers must navigate the ruins in order to find treasure, power, and incredibly valuable neon gas. Players choose one of five archetypes: Warden, Warrior, Witch, Wraith, or Wretch.

Inhaling a handful of vials containing a clear gas, a witch tilts her head back and stares up at the clouds as raw power courses through her veins. As the witch’s blood fills with neon, she grasps the power deep within her and sends a blast of fire at an approaching monstrosity of claws and chitin. Beside her, a warden shoots a volley of arrows, piercing the chitinous shell of the creature and forcing it to recoil in pain. While the creature is not defeated, the two travellers have earned themselves an extra few moments in the blasted ruins of Akkodia.

Arcaneon Itchfunding

The Goal:

The itchfunding goal for The Arcaneon Traveller’s Guide is $1000. This funding will go towards acquiring interior art and professional formatting. This would include item, NPC, and creature art along with art for all five archetypes and a map of the Underbelly.

Who is involved?

Leaf Kursawa will be continuing the writing.

Louise Berland (@louzeisbad) will be completing the interior art.

Colin Stumborg (@realmsofpaper) will complete the map of the Underbelly.

The Timeline:

If the project funds by the end of the itchfunding campaign, I hope to acquire the art and complete the formatting and layouts by June 2023.

What if it doesn’t fund?

If the project does not fund completely, I will not have the funds to acquire all the art planned and will need to consider which pieces are most important. The art will be acquired with the funds that were raised.

Stretch Goals?

  • $1000 – Project Funded!
  • $1100 – An extra page dedicated to detailing a brief history of Akkodia.
  • $1200 – An extra page of creatures and NPCs (11-13 creatures and NPCs).
  • $1600 – An adventure scenario set in the Downtown district called “Into the Caves of Concrete.”
  • $1800 – A professionally designed character sheet.
  • $2500 – A collection of pre-generated player characters and NPCs with unique art.
  • $2500+ – More exciting additions!
