Hello, everyone!

I’ve been trying off and on for ten years or more to see this game made, and finally, after countless setbacks and just life getting in the way, it would be no exaggeration to say that what has been my life’s work thus far is now available for purchase!

Dream of Stars is a sci-fi visual novel starring a reclusive hacker and computer whiz named Tomohiro Ishikawa as he gets scouted into “Hoshi,” a space research agency for the Japanese government in the year 2132.  Tasked with writing an OS for their flagship spacecraft, Tomohiro will have to learn to face the world around him, while simultaneously helping his coworkers to come to terms with their own issues and pasts.

Tsukiko is an android in the shape of a teenage girl, the assistant to Hiroaki Abe—Tomohiro’s boss—and is perpetually at her creator’s side.  Advanced beyond even the latest androids on the market, Tsukiko displays an unparalleled ability to learn and grow, but what happens when this capacity starts to exceed her parameters as an android?

Momoka is an alien girl found by Hiroaki as a baby, crash-landed from parts unknown.  She displays a chipper attitude, and she uses her telepathic abilities in her capacity as Hoshi’s counselor.  However, this cheerful façade masks an extreme aversion to forming relationships with others, for fear of the pain she’ll cause the other side when, due to her species’ rapid aging, she inevitably leaves them alone.  Can Tomohiro convince her to move beyond these fears and live for today?

Fumiko Mori is a child genius and Hoshi’s head of research and development, responsible for most of the technology found onboard the agency’s flagship spacecraft.  A massive otaku, Fumiko spends her free time watching mecha anime—the result of being raised on it by her absentee father, who is perpetually busy with work.  Can you provide the companionship and guidance necessary to fill such a large void in her heart? (NOTE: NO ROMANCE PLOTLINE).

(Much) more info can be found on the game’s proper page, as well as on the game’s Kickstarter page, which also contains a complete development history.

Should you choose to buy the game, I highly encourage any feedback you might have—but, as I am a composer first and a developer second, what I hope more than anything is that the music I’ve written for Dream of Stars will leave a particular impact on you.

Enjoy—and always remember to live for today.
