History Squares — Checkerboard Game

Each player begins the game by randomly selecting a semi-historical Nation and then competes with the other players to conquer squares on the map board in order to expand the player’s Dominion. Each player receives Coins for each square he or she conquers. As the player’s Nation expands it reaches the limits of that Nation’s further growth. At that point the player may choose to put that Nation into Decline and then select another Nation to expand. The player with the most Coins wins!
