I started working on a prototype for a little Action Puzzle game 2 years ago, and I used Game Maker’s built-in physics engine to do it.
It went… poorly.

At the end of January this year, I took another look at my documents, and decided “I can make this work!”
The game is a Twin-Stick Action Puzzle game, where you control two Brothers, “Blue,” and “Red.”
You are connected by a Bungee Cord, and must wrap it around tree stumps, then release it to snap away enemies.

The demo features a handful of stage layouts and enemy types.
The goal of each stage is fling all the Shroomguys off the mountain.
The overarching goal of the game is to get big combos, and aim for the high score.

All assets in the game were made by me (except for gamepad_force_focus.dll), which is used to allow background input – something Game Maker sorely lacks natively.

You can check out the page, and download the demo here!

Thank you for taking the time to check it out, and any feedback is appreciated!
