23andMe allows you to download your raw DNA data as a text file for uploading to other sites (e.g. GEDmatch).   James Hamon has additional tools that accept GEDmatch data in order to show which global populations are most similiar, genetically, to you.

But, copying and pasting back and forth from GEDmatch to Mr. Hamon’s sites is quite a pain.  As amazing as these free services are, they are severely lacking in the UX department.   

So, here’s a program that needs no internet connection, just your 23andMe data, to paint a really cool heatmap indicating where your ancestors lived in the world.  Check it out!
