Now that Unreal Engine 5 is in Early Access, we’ve been setting aside time each week for a series of in-depth presentations on our official livestream, Inside Unreal. After our Early Access Kickoff stream and feature-focused episodes on Nanite and Lumen, this week we dove into UE5’s world building features.On the stream, Principal Programmer Jean-Francois Dube was joined by Senior Technical Product Designer Chance Ivey and Product Specialist Victor Brodin as they explored Unreal Engine 5’s built-in workflows for partitioning and streaming large levels including World Partition, Data Layers, and One File Per Actor, which have also been developed to ease collaboration between multiple people working in the same virtual world.
