Oubreak HERO is a multiplayer strategy game with third person shooter mechanics at its core build in UNITY HDRP. It is inspired by the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. The core objective of the game is simple. A disease like the covid 19 is spreading through infected patients mixing with civilians.Since quarantine is too boring and is useless and people just flout them anyways the player has has to take more drastic measures to protect his healthy citizens and prevent them from being infected. This includes a AK-47,RPG,Grenage and an arsenal of other customizable weapons.
Outbreak has 3 game modes :
Multiplayer(P v Z) : One player and one zombie spawn on a map with 30 npcs . Zombie(or infected) will infect anyone he has close contact with. Zombie has to stay away from player and focus on infecting as many npcs as possible. The player playing as zombie can control any zombie he infects and switch between them by pressing e. If he is killed by player perspective will automatically switch to another active zombie. NPCs are totally helpless against zombies and can only run away from them . Zombies can also infect them with projectile vomit. Player on his turn will be given access to a plethora of weapons. His only task is to eliminate all zombies as soon as possible and prevent them from infecting other npcs and turning them into zombies. Player will have a minimap which will mark location of all active zombies on map. When all zombies are eliminated player would be given 1 point for each surviving npc on map. Like cricket the game is played in 2 or 4 rounds with player and zombie player alternating roles. At end the player with highest score wins. As a player the focus is on scoring maximum. As a zombie the score is infecting maximum and preventing opponent score.
SinglePlayer : (P v AI) : 1 zombie AI spawns on a map with 30 npcs.Player has to prevent him from infecting npcs.When all zombies are killed player get a score on the number of npcs left on map.Player can compete with other players on daily leaderboard. Other modes like world mode are intended to be added based on demand.
