After a pre-release a couple of days ago, the full release of Direct Ascent 0.4.0, the Interstellar Update has came out! With it is a couple of bug fixes that broke the game, including sometimes not dying after reaching zero hearts, your score not setting to zero after a game over, and your money not being set to zero after a game over as well. So, not too much, but it makes the game much, much more playable.
The Interstellar Incident music will be added in the next update, 0.5.0. I’m pretty sure there won’t be a 0.4.1, unless someone finds out something else that is game-breaking. If you find any bugs, make sure to post in the discussion board your findings. Also, if you have a suggestion, either for a change or a feature, hop over to that board.
My eyes are now setting on making an official trailer for the game, but I’m afraid you’ll have to wait a bit for that to happen – before I do that, 0.5.0, the Ability Update will be out! (wink wink) I’ll post a lot more devlogs in order to show you the new abilities of the rockets – and how they connect to the real world. If you have any feature suggestions, the discussion board is, again, your friend. The update should take around a month to do.
