Inspiration: Sonic Adventure series (mech stages), Star Fox, Super Mario World
Hi everyone! I’ve just recently released a prototype (one ~3 minute level) of a rail shooter concept I’ve been working on during quarantine – tentatively titled PLASMOS. The primary inspiration was my nostalgia for the mech stages (E-102 Gamma, Tails, Eggman) from the Sonic Adventure series, but adapted for a 2D environment. Other gameplay mechanics and level design/progression pulls inspiration from Star Fox 64 and Super Mario World. I’m seeking feedback on the current build to determine a clearer direction for the project, so any and all criticism is appreciated.
